What is a Licensed Educational Psychologist?

Section 4989.14: Scope of Practice

The practice of educational psychology is the performance of any of the following professional functions pertaining to academic learning processes or the education system or both:

Educational evaluation.

(b) Diagnosis of psychological disorders related to academic learning processes.

(c) Administration of diagnostic tests related to academic learning processes including tests of academic ability, learning patterns, achievement, motivation, and personality factors.

(d) Interpretation of diagnostic tests related to academic learning processes including tests of academic ability, learning patterns, achievement, motivation, and personality factors.

(e) Providing psychological counseling for individuals, groups, and families.

(f) Consultation with other educators and parents on issues of social development and behavioral and academic difficulties.

(g) Conducting psychoeducational assessments for the purposes of identifying special needs.

(h) Developing treatment programs and strategies to address problems of adjustment.

(i) Coordinating intervention strategies for management of individual crises.

Does Goode Educational Services take insurance?

Not at this time. Fees vary depending on the referral. Fees will be discussed at the scheduled free consultation.

How does Goode Educational Services accept fees for service delivery?

For schools, fees for assessment, counseling and consultation services are paid in two payments, with a required 50% deposit. The final payment is required after the completed final draft report has been sent to the school district or the service has been delivered.

For private clients, payment schedules are individualized and will be discussed during your initial consultation.

What does the assessment process consist of?

Upon receiving your inquiry submission on the Contact page, I will reach out via the contact information provided to schedule your first free consultation. After meeting, based on your expressed concerns, I will develop and review with you a comprehensive detailed assessment plan for evaluation and/or proposed service delivery. Along with the plan, I will provide a quote, and potential days of in person assessment. After the assessment process is completed, I will schedule a meeting time to review assessment findings, as well as send over a draft prior to the meeting and a final copy of the assessment findings after the meeting. Review meetings are typically held 3-4 weeks after the assessments are completed.
